The games can still be found with Internet Search Engines, using the site: -directive. Like this:
site:itch.io “harem hotel”
If you happen to have bookmarked the game page, that also works.
Games are still in itch.io, and can be downloaded like before. They can be purchased like before with VISA, Mastercard etc.
What has changed is the search function on itch.io page does not find NFSW games and those games do not appear in “Top rated” -listing or other groupings.
But all NSFW content has been shadowbanned from itch. I'm being a bit nitpicky I guess. Like you said, it still exists, it just can't be naturally found anymore. Itch.io is primarily an advertising platform for us, so we've essentially been locked out and left to die by itch.
Nobody uses Patreon to search for new games, is what I mean. Without Itch, I don't think there are ANY legal, legitimate and popular places to find NSFW games left. They either host illegal content, are pirating sites, or are not popular because getting too big means you get shut down by Collective Shout.

Man, I hope that this game is not taken down, why should stupid hog karens have any say in the gaming sphere? Godspeed Runey. <3
Maybe, they require a bit of... corruption. 😏
NSFW content isn't being taken down from itch.io. Yet, anyway. You just can't naturally find it and need a direct link to the project to access it.

Thanks for that useful tip.
