This game can't be played on iPad as far as I'm aware. If you were to start that process, it would probably involve the PC build.
Unfortunately, what you've been told so many times is true. You will either need a PC or Android phone to be able to play Harem Hotel. There is no known way to me to install the Mac version on your iPad.
Sorry to ask this but I tried to use the joiplay in playstore but my game is always crashing, I even tried to downgrade it but it said it cannot find the game data. But I executed it Just like in the instructions :( I've also installed the ren'py plugin. Pls help I really love this game

This bug was not present before, but recently now as shown in the video there's a black box in the corner when you open the menu. Something else to add is that the game was previously played and completed on Joiplay version 1.01.430

From the others translating you attempting to say you're having installation issues and the game crashes. Assuming you installed correctly, and on Android (context helps), sounds like the standard JoiPlay problem. Runey is not JoiPlay's dev, he is Harem Hotel's. Not sure if the old solution works since it updated and has the same damn problem, but downgrading to 1.01.400 and disabling auto-update was the primary fix. You could also enable beta builds and use 1.01.500 specifically, as others failed to work. So again, please don't blame Runey for someone else's program not working. Harem Hotel is not the only game run on JoiPlay, and he's not its dev anyway.

2. ashley going back to her old looks to try and possibly jog mrs rens memory (this tells me we're going to find her or get very close... i wait to see)
3. the red diamonds and triangles on the black background... i have no idea what these are about, and am intrigued to find out (i'm very possibly missing a very obvious link here that is hiding in plain sight)

I am incredibly impressed. The amount of work that goes into this game is enormous. The number of one-time renderings alone is staggering. And all for a game that is basically offered free of charge.
The story as a whole and the connections with the characters is on such a high level that I can really only think of a very small number of games that can keep up with this. Major AAA titles included.

I can only remember that Durn guy from fancy restaurant 🤔 , maybe you can include a male drow(might help with involving drow in revolution if we ever go that path) or male high elf in problem who becomes most loyal friend and later becomes guard of bar or something . You've actually seen more men in this game than women, they've just been in black silhouette ;)
In all seriousness, there are a few reasons why I develop less men than women. First is most obvious, my audience is mostly straight men, which also includes me.
Second is that this is a porn game specifically, so creating female characters just makes the most sense.
Third is that the male character creation engine I use is not great with men. In fact, it's so bad that I've resorted to using the female character creation engine to making male elves. Here's one (slight spoilers)

I don't know why that would be happening. But it should be fixed by loading a save prior to the bug occurring. If that fails, you may need to reinstall as well.
How do you best make money in this game? I need 10K Syls to free the thee elf slaves, but I burned my Trenaro money upgrading my Hotel and Android (aka Robo C*nt).
I can pull about $100/day with rent and pinups.
The bar pulls about $200/week
Do I need to upgrade the bar so it can make more money? I dont advertise much.
At this rate, it will take me over 4hrs of repetitive gameplay to got the ~8k syls I need to continue in the story.
Money is mostly passive in this game. It's extremely rare that I hear anyone have financial issues in Harem Hotel. In most cases of feedback I've received, players end the current story at around $4k - $7k extra.
It's likely that you waited a very long time before you purchased and upgraded the bar, which becomes your main source of income later in the game.
For active sources of income, you can sell pinups, which will make in a day what your other sources of income will make in a week.

The way I like to play gated/progression games is to finish the current "tier" before moving on. So, YES, I did wait... I assumed some stories may be broken/wonky if I progressed some further than others (which still happens, Android made a cameo on another girls quest-line when she was locked in her room, "splitting" and Maria just made a cameo when she is currently... MIA, in my game (no spoilers).).
i have the same problem, the game just close but if i enable the "Use Legacy Version" on Joiplay Settings > Ren'Py Settings, i can get to menu and got error report when loading saves but can play if i click "ignore", i havent tried to play for long thought
Have you considered doing lite versions? That is where it only has the changed files. So you need to have V0.13 but then there is a smaller set of files for download.
That was the focus of the 0.13.2 patch; Runey wants to make a simple update installer, but it's not at all simple. He's said before it will likely be ready in time for 0.14.

Such an amazing game, one of the best NSFW VN's out there PERIOD. Honestly, it's got more quality and content than some fully completed VN's with only a TENTH of the predicted content. The time between updates is only frustrating because I'm impatiently waiting to see what you do with the world you're making because clearly there are going to be big events to come that radically alter the society in-game.
The only thing keeping me from going mad about Harem Hotel is that with each update, you *know* you'll get a sizeable addition of content that will definitely be of high quality.

This is by far one of my favorite VN. I was very surprised by the story. I got swept up in the surprising political natures and enjoyed every second of developing relationships and helping the elves. 10 outta 10 cant wait for more!

There's only one other possibility with this error other than cheats, and that's loading a save into a prior version, say, 0.13 or one of its betas or prereleases into 0.12 or earlier. The error explains it all; "Friendship is too high". Friendship is a direct counter to story events. There is no natural way to exceed the maximum for the version you play.
Yeah , 1st they say if you continue her story you need to increase Lin's friendship but after increase Lin's friendship now they say friendship is too high ☹️😑😔 I don't know what happened

Pretty good game over all. Plenty to do. Gets to the action quick enough and keeps it going for quite a while. I love the body variety in the girls. It's not just all DD+ boob sizes and they're not all the same height!
My biggest complaint is that there are no sounds. It would be nice to at least have some smacking sound for the spankings.
The only characters that have a "bad" path are Nia and Sylvia with their slave routes. Creating a dark route for the whole game would double the work. That is also not a story I want to tell.
From what I recall of other times this was asked, it's clear the itch.io app has strange download issues. Runey is not itch.io's dev though, he can't fix that. I do recall him and/or others suggesting simply using the website itself, which works fine. Patreon links are also an option.

I'm guessing the "minuses" (downvotes) come from the fact your main complaint is an issue with JoiPlay's UI, which you are raising with the creator and community of just one game played on it, instead of JoiPlay's developers. As for the "lack of an official apk" part, please read the first sentence of the download section. If you have a way to compress nearly 80gB down below 2gB without noticeable quality loss, please let us know, as that's impossible.
I did not complain about the lack of an official APK, because I wrote about it earlier, so there is absolutely no need to point out the instructions to me.
And about the community of one game: I indicated above that I had already write to the author (because this problem is clearly visible here because of the choice of UI in the game settings) and asked for support so that someone would also respond and also write to him.

First of all, I didn’t complain about the lack of an APK version. There is a difference between it and stating the fact that there is no alternative (at the moment) to playing on mobile devices, in the form of using this emulator. We have a saying in our country: “I’m talking about potatoes, and you say give me some of them.” I wanted to draw attention to the fact that that program is well-known, and that mobile players use it mainly. And I personally accepted the rejection of the mobile version already when only the respected Runey wrote about it in Discord.
Secondly, a complaint and feedback are also slightly different things. I have always treated Runey with respect, as a single work of this scale is admirable. But it also collects reviews with errors. And what I decided to do: I saw a minor problem, roughly found the original source and what it is related to, pointed out to both authors (the emulator and the game) and asked for support from the game community, since the author of Joiplay is generally silent.
Third, “He can’t help you.” It’s good, but it’s not good to check for him and decide for him, too. I asked you to pay attention, and, if possible, try to do something if there is a desire (this is all about that line - or for someone to comment on why it is not needed, or there would be an alternative to it, I can’t say).
Fourth, the comparison is quite good, I laughed. But I didn’t complain about the taste of the burger, I just pointed out that they forgot to add the salad. Feedback - there is not always a complaint or whining.
I will not continue the polemic further, it is useless to cling to each other’s words. It would be better to have something about the problems. If someone sees this, responds to author of game, because one person was ignored; he will suddenly correct the situation - and it will be generally good. There is a way to solve the problem - good. There will be one less problem in the world. Can’t solve the problem - that’s okay. Love for the game will not diminish.

The Ipad runs on a completely different operating system from the Mac. It's like trying to put the windows version on an android tablet.

Renpy doesn't like looping videos, they stutter and lag. But frames are seamless.

This is by far one of my favorite VN. I was very surprised by the story. I got swept up in the surprising political natures and enjoyed every second of developing relationships and helping the elves. 10 outta 10 cant wait for more!

It means you cheated or adjusted the values too much and broke the game.
No no the game says if you increase tha value you didn't experience the story so I just increase the money not the value , maybe 🤔 I just continue Lin story too much , I have to play with all the characters with same amount I guess ☹️ , so I have start with new game it's good because I love this game toooo much so I don't mind play it from the start 😋🤤
There's only one other possibility with this error other than cheats, and that's loading a save into a prior version, say, 0.13 or one of its betas or prereleases into 0.12 or earlier.
The error explains it all; "Friendship is too high". Friendship is a direct counter to story events. There is no natural way to exceed the maximum for the version you play.
Yeah , 1st they say if you continue her story you need to increase Lin's friendship but after increase Lin's friendship now they say friendship is too high ☹️😑😔 I don't know what happened

What is the max level that the stats of every character can reach? I thought it would be 100 but apparently it can go over that value.

There is no max. Stats count how many times you have done a thing.
And once the trait is gained, unless it leads to the gaining of another trait, no need to repeat it... (I'm thinking sex leading to internal and external ejaculations, the "finish" being counted as 2 different traits)

Pretty good game over all. Plenty to do. Gets to the action quick enough and keeps it going for quite a while. I love the body variety in the girls. It's not just all DD+ boob sizes and they're not all the same height!
My biggest complaint is that there are no sounds. It would be nice to at least have some smacking sound for the spankings.
The only characters that have a "bad" path are Nia and Sylvia with their slave routes. Creating a dark route for the whole game would double the work. That is also not a story I want to tell.

same issue again, Cant donwload thru Itch client - says planning failed zip:not a valid zip file
but I do have 7zip installed and set as default for .zip extension.

From searching around, this looks like a common bug amongst the many games from different authors uploaded here on itch.io.

From what I recall of other times this was asked, it's clear the itch.io app has strange download issues. Runey is not itch.io's dev though, he can't fix that.
I do recall him and/or others suggesting simply using the website itself, which works fine. Patreon links are also an option.

I'm guessing the "minuses" (downvotes) come from the fact your main complaint is an issue with JoiPlay's UI, which you are raising with the creator and community of just one game played on it, instead of JoiPlay's developers.
As for the "lack of an official apk" part, please read the first sentence of the download section. If you have a way to compress nearly 80gB down below 2gB without noticeable quality loss, please let us know, as that's impossible.
I did not complain about the lack of an official APK, because I wrote about it earlier, so there is absolutely no need to point out the instructions to me.
And about the community of one game: I indicated above that I had already write to the author (because this problem is clearly visible here because of the choice of UI in the game settings) and asked for support so that someone would also respond and also write to him.
The last sentence of the very comment I replied to has you complaining about no apk.

First of all, I didn’t complain about the lack of an APK version. There is a difference between it and stating the fact that there is no alternative (at the moment) to playing on mobile devices, in the form of using this emulator. We have a saying in our country: “I’m talking about potatoes, and you say give me some of them.” I wanted to draw attention to the fact that that program is well-known, and that mobile players use it mainly. And I personally accepted the rejection of the mobile version already when only the respected Runey wrote about it in Discord.
Secondly, a complaint and feedback are also slightly different things. I have always treated Runey with respect, as a single work of this scale is admirable. But it also collects reviews with errors. And what I decided to do: I saw a minor problem, roughly found the original source and what it is related to, pointed out to both authors (the emulator and the game) and asked for support from the game community, since the author of Joiplay is generally silent.
Third, “He can’t help you.” It’s good, but it’s not good to check for him and decide for him, too. I asked you to pay attention, and, if possible, try to do something if there is a desire (this is all about that line - or for someone to comment on why it is not needed, or there would be an alternative to it, I can’t say).
Fourth, the comparison is quite good, I laughed. But I didn’t complain about the taste of the burger, I just pointed out that they forgot to add the salad. Feedback - there is not always a complaint or whining.
I will not continue the polemic further, it is useless to cling to each other’s words. It would be better to have something about the problems. If someone sees this, responds to author of game, because one person was ignored; he will suddenly correct the situation - and it will be generally good. There is a way to solve the problem - good. There will be one less problem in the world. Can’t solve the problem - that’s okay. Love for the game will not diminish.
