- during Emma in the dungeon, doggystyle option : when she cums although you said "deny", there is no punish option; other characters always have a punish option when they cum but you said no in the previous option.
Finally managed to get this to download. After several months of getting maxed out DL's or broken links. Will install and try tonight. (Played and paid for several games on this site, only one I have had this issue with)
The primary reason I have not become a patreon supporter is due to the level of difficulty I have had even downloading the FREE version of this game. I am scared to put money into something that I won't even be able to access.
Two questions though.
1: If I do become a patreon supporter is there a more reliable link to download from?
2: What are the primary differences between v0.13.2 and v0.14? (In terms of amount of content)
Nopy recently shut down, which was the primary download host. My patreon however has always had multiple mirrors, as do the links for patrons. There is only one link for each version here, so it is more limited.
v0.14 also includes multiple different ways to download as well. You now have the option of downloading just the update, which is around 550MB at the moment, and you have the added option of downloading the entire game in two parts to combine after they're downloaded, which will also get around some limits of download hosts.
As of v0.14 beta 4, there are 40 new scenes and roughly 192 minutes of new content.
Emma's scenes in the dungeon (especially Squirtathon and orgasm denial) seems to have some lagging/slow issue (and even, the screen goes to the choice of activity in MC room for one frame before it comes back to the dungeon scen). (On pc)
I also have issues with some games lagging and stuttering after playing for long periods of time. Most of the time saving, exiting them game, and then relaunching helps. I'm fairly certain that my issue in particular is with old RAM, and the cache memory not being cleared appropriately.
Yeah, it's the frame rate. These aren't frames like FPS frames, these are dozens of individual image frames at 1920x1080, being flashed on your screen very fast (60 images in a second) so if your computer can't store all those images, it will lag.
Most other animations are in 24 frames, so it's much less data to store, and isn't being flashed as fast on screen.
So I'm not alone in this... Maybe the game got too big for itch or something. I mean... Steam is more welcoming to adult games now so if it is too big for itch that is an option.
From what I know, it works properly. Unfortunately I cannot troubleshoot for you because I don't play Harem Hotel on android. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can help you, but it should work right now if the guide is followed.

I played a bit (6 hours already) and intend to continue but i wanted to share something i noticed: let's say you sleep with girl A (Kali), at dawn, if you set Lin as alarm clock, there is no interaction between them.
Also if you sleep with girl X (let's say Lin in my case) then Lin wakes you up as alarm clock, there seems to have no continuity between both events.
Finally when i chose to sleep with Lin, at some point i had a "ashley wake up" event (later it was also the case with a Emma & Felicity event) , without any mention of Lin; Besides it had the Lin alarm clock right before (i think it was before) the event.
Otherwise, the artistic direction is very beautiful.
Edit: at some point i notice some items are "sold out" in the shop without me buying them. I'm not sure it's normal.
Also, i had the "Lin" dungeon first scene before i got her the rope clothing. (For other girls, the game asked me to buy the ropes before using them in dungeon, but when i discovered the dungeon first time, the Lin scene started auto, and i had not (and still have not) bought the ropes in the store.
I tested setting Lin as my alarm, and slept with Kali. Everything seems to be working fine. After you wake up with Kali, Lin blows you.
Thanks for noting the continuity issue, that will likely be fixed at some point, but it isn't a priority as it isn't very glaring.

This is already something I am fixing for v0.14, and it's going very well. You will be able to download a patch, with just the new content (if you have v0.13.2), or there will be the option of downloading the split files, which will get around the mega limit.
But there is a method to get around the mega limit, which is to use a VPN once the limit is reached.
Unfortunately, I don't own a server room capable of uploading to thousands a day. Most devs like me have to use hosts like mega instead.
I am aware of the issues that hosting large files can cause. I have been hosting my own FTP servers for years.
I am not going to install a VPN simply to access a single game. NTM, this is the only game I have had this issue with out of dozens of other games I have downloaded and played from this site.
But I digress, I finally managed to get the DL to work from the Mediafire link. I was actually going to suggest trying Mediafire.

I have been playing the game a lot and finally have every trait unlockable for everyone and all scenes up to this point (0.13) and i have to say, You did an absolutely wonderful job so far!
Personally i took a liking to Kali, Lin and Emma rather quickly, and i enjoy the android the most in a non-sexual way (named her sylvia before i even met the real sylvia so that continues to be a very fun exchange when either is brought up lol)

Mega.nz seem to have changed some things. You can only download a certain amount for free and Harem Hotel seems to exceed that limit, downloaded 5gb (file-size is 7,71gb) have to wait for ~6 hours to contiune...
The 2018 publishing date was the initial version of the game. Itch.io unfortunately doesn't list the last time the game was updated, which confused me at first as well. However, most devs here upload patch notes whenever they update. Those patch notes are dated, so you can usually check if a game is still in development simply by checking the patch notes.
We have the option of creating new downloads for each new link, but that also resets the analytics for each download. It just usually makes more sense to keep the same download but change the link. I'm not sure why itch.io doesn't update the date when the download is updated.
I was unaware of that. It still makes no sense as to why there is no "Last update: " line for the last time you updated the files in the download. Maybe this is something that we could potentially petition to have implemented? It would be nice to be able to see the date of the latest update in the "more information" button.
as long as the files didn't get changed by some third party, your saves should transfer just fine. be careful downloading from other sites than what the dev has listed though, as some people will change files in order to spread viruses or try to scam you into paying for a free game.
If on Mac or PC, everything transfers automatically. On Android, you have to find your save file, move it to a different location, download the new version of the game, then replace your save file in the correct folder. I don't know where the save file is located though, as I play on PC.

This is likely due to outdated computer hardware. Those scenes are in the 40 - 60 frames per second range, whereas most are in 24 frames per second.

I was going to accept my "outdated hardware" explanation since my pc is from 2012 but i had still some trouble with it because:
1) no other scene has really this trouble in this game
2) i can still play some more demanding games.
3) i have played many other games with the same engine and no such issue in those.
Now that another poster has the same issue, i'm not so sure at all. I'd advise Runey42 to check if anything is different in those scenes.

Find a decent file manager on the play store. I personally use total commander, as it lets me browse my computer files from my phone.

I have been playing the game a lot and finally have every trait unlockable for everyone and all scenes up to this point (0.13) and i have to say, You did an absolutely wonderful job so far!
Personally i took a liking to Kali, Lin and Emma rather quickly, and i enjoy the android the most in a non-sexual way (named her sylvia before i even met the real sylvia so that continues to be a very fun exchange when either is brought up lol)
On a side note, I was happy to see the Tieve picture in sanctuary! Having played Mabinogi Heroes from season 1 to 3, it was a very welcome and enjoyable thing to see.

Okay so I just wanted to say this game is absolutely amazing. I have zero complaints save for waiting for the next release but that's not a bother it's worth it. The women are all unique and well written, the comedy is absolutely amazing. The storytelling is top tier. I honestly cant give this game enough praise. Runey42 you have created a truly unique game. You have an amazing talent for storytelling. I dont know if you work with a team or not but I hope they and you know how good this game is. And once I get some extra cash I'll be donating what I can to help with this game. When I first downloaded this I was just expecting another copy and paste story with lewd scenes. This game surprised me with how well it's written. The girls are all beautiful with unique and amazing personalities. My favorites are Maria, Kate, Felicity and Emma. Though I will say I hope Juliet becomes available as a romance option as well. Anyways keep up the good work and expect donations soon. I want to keep this game going. I'm even replaying it now while waiting for the next update. Anyways thanks for letting me rant. Keep up the amazing work.

You can use a VPN to bypass the mega limit.
Mega.nz seem to have changed some things. You can only download a certain amount for free and Harem Hotel seems to exceed that limit, downloaded 5gb (file-size is 7,71gb) have to wait for ~6 hours to contiune...

What you're seeing is the date Harem Hotel first became playable on itch.io.
The 2018 publishing date was the initial version of the game. Itch.io unfortunately doesn't list the last time the game was updated, which confused me at first as well. However, most devs here upload patch notes whenever they update. Those patch notes are dated, so you can usually check if a game is still in development simply by checking the patch notes.
We have the option of creating new downloads for each new link, but that also resets the analytics for each download. It just usually makes more sense to keep the same download but change the link. I'm not sure why itch.io doesn't update the date when the download is updated.
I was unaware of that. It still makes no sense as to why there is no "Last update: " line for the last time you updated the files in the download. Maybe this is something that we could potentially petition to have implemented? It would be nice to be able to see the date of the latest update in the "more information" button.

as long as the files didn't get changed by some third party, your saves should transfer just fine. be careful downloading from other sites than what the dev has listed though, as some people will change files in order to spread viruses or try to scam you into paying for a free game.

If on Mac or PC, everything transfers automatically. On Android, you have to find your save file, move it to a different location, download the new version of the game, then replace your save file in the correct folder. I don't know where the save file is located though, as I play on PC.
