Not only does it keep me guessing, the story is good and the scenes are excellent with some most outstanding ladies. Not to mention any game that makes you even remotely give a shit about the characters... even in a Hentai/Ecchi/Adult/Hardcore Fapfest (Whatever you want to call it) is a keeper.

I have a question, how do i update the game from an old build to a new one? I downloaded this maybe 2 weeks ago and i see a new update came out but im new to this stuff. Do i just download the game and my progress stays or do i just restart? (not really a problem if i have to restart)
I "think" that you start the new game and load your old save. I've read that it should work except if the games have suffered so much changes that it's not save compatible.
Also i read (in this game or another similar one) to make sure to make a hard copy of your hard save, just in case.
Depends, android or PC? PC - Simply download and play, you can delete the old file. Android - Download, move saves over manually, play. You can then delete the old file. Not sure what you mean by a new update 2 weeks ago; the last update was 4 months ago, though there will be one pretty much a week from now ("near the end of the month").

I think im encountering a problem(?). I can't play the game since it kept kicking me out after the first choice (skip the intro or watch the intro). I can't watch the intro since it will close down the game after I choose it. If I try to skip it, it will also close the game (but if I tap fast and choose skip the intro it will let me see a bit, like 3 tap then it will close down. Even on option, it will close down after a few seconds. Playing on Samsung A12 (Android 11)
This isn't technically a bug, it would be more of a continuity error. The problem is most likely that the tags for that part of Maria's story aren't set to require a specific point in each other girls story to happen first. I had a few different story events that happened after Maria disappeared that featured her in them, but only because I had to progress those stories in order to set the triggers for retrieving her.

I'm not really sure this is the type of content that you would want to be playing on a public PC. Not trying to be rude or anything, but I doubt it's something that you would want others to potentially see you playing, especially family members. That could be majorly emberrassing.

I don't remember that scene. I may have gotten it as well but I don't remember. I do know that Lin was the first character that I focused on the relationship with while trying to get to the point where I could do pinups for cash, so maybe that had something to do with it.

INCREDIBLE game. At first I thought this was a simple "fuck girls in a hotel"-game, but when then you start to learn the characters and their backstories, the characters themselves also intertwine with each other, setting up amazing scenes. The writing is superb and animations are smooth and perfectly looped. This is a 5/5 game.

Is it possible to download version 0.12 (because it still worked)? I wish I could play but one version is not working (0.13) and the other is not loading / seeing saves (0.13.2). The option to leave the previous version for download when a newer version comes out would be nice to have an emergency fallback option if needed.

Today I tried to play the PC version (0.13.2) and despite adding the save folder to the game folder, the game does not see the saves. I don't want to start the game over.
I click "Load" and all the slots are "Empty".
Version 0.13 crashes some bugs (I also tried to run on the PC itself).

The latest version of Joiplay is working as far as I know. I wish I could offer more help, all I can say is make sure you're following the android installation guide on this page.

If you are referring to where she doesn't give you a riddle to solve, then the answer is kind of hidden away. If you remember her riddles, some of them had a single letter answer. Each of those answers can be re-arranged to give her the answer she is waiting for. If you don't remember the riddles and answers, post a reply here and I will try to help without giving the answer away. Or, if you just want the answer, google can help you find it as well.

reporting more things i notice while playing in hope it's useful.
- During the Lin & Jin training scene, when Lin is on the horse thing, ready to suck dick, Jin speaks about her collar.
I noticed that in that scene, the collar of Lin is partially colliding with her neck.
- during the Emma&Felicity wake up alarm, the movements of Felicity body vs arm are very weird at the shoulder level in the first phase especially because her boobs are not moving at all while the arm, back and head are.
- during Emma in the dungeon, doggystyle option : when she cums although you said "deny", there is no punish option; other characters always have a punish option when they cum but you said no in the previous option.
Finally managed to get this to download. After several months of getting maxed out DL's or broken links. Will install and try tonight. (Played and paid for several games on this site, only one I have had this issue with)
The primary reason I have not become a patreon supporter is due to the level of difficulty I have had even downloading the FREE version of this game. I am scared to put money into something that I won't even be able to access.
Two questions though.
1: If I do become a patreon supporter is there a more reliable link to download from?
2: What are the primary differences between v0.13.2 and v0.14? (In terms of amount of content)
Nopy recently shut down, which was the primary download host. My patreon however has always had multiple mirrors, as do the links for patrons. There is only one link for each version here, so it is more limited.
v0.14 also includes multiple different ways to download as well. You now have the option of downloading just the update, which is around 550MB at the moment, and you have the added option of downloading the entire game in two parts to combine after they're downloaded, which will also get around some limits of download hosts.
As of v0.14 beta 4, there are 40 new scenes and roughly 192 minutes of new content.
Emma's scenes in the dungeon (especially Squirtathon and orgasm denial) seems to have some lagging/slow issue (and even, the screen goes to the choice of activity in MC room for one frame before it comes back to the dungeon scen). (On pc)
I also have issues with some games lagging and stuttering after playing for long periods of time. Most of the time saving, exiting them game, and then relaunching helps. I'm fairly certain that my issue in particular is with old RAM, and the cache memory not being cleared appropriately.
Yeah, it's the frame rate. These aren't frames like FPS frames, these are dozens of individual image frames at 1920x1080, being flashed on your screen very fast (60 images in a second) so if your computer can't store all those images, it will lag.
Most other animations are in 24 frames, so it's much less data to store, and isn't being flashed as fast on screen.
So I'm not alone in this... Maybe the game got too big for itch or something. I mean... Steam is more welcoming to adult games now so if it is too big for itch that is an option.
From what I know, it works properly. Unfortunately I cannot troubleshoot for you because I don't play Harem Hotel on android. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can help you, but it should work right now if the guide is followed.
I all ready download joiplay and I still cant play the game what version do I put in the version box in joiplay. I put v13 and I still cant play the game what do I do do I put the v or just version.
- i had the scene in the bar where Felicity and Ashley drink contest and ends in a threesome. The scene ends with the girls going away.
- Sleep time (i guess)
- at the next morning, scene with Felicity being in my bed (related to her story i think) and we go to restaurant afterwards.
It felt weird to see Felicity go then her back in the bed.
Not sure if it was volontary and wanted so reporting.
Edit: when buying "cowgirl outfit" for Android, there is an additional confirmation screen which is not for any other clothing (that i tried already) and it is not possible to go back in time like any other screen allows.
Edit2 in Emma's scene where she brings pizza, she used "owner" in little letters after her introduction sentence. I'm assuming she said so because it's the nickname Lin gives me (instead of master). It felt a bit weird since Owner for a slave (lin) made sense, but not for Emma, but i could get to understand how she would use "master" in this occurence.
I played a bit (6 hours already) and intend to continue but i wanted to share something i noticed: let's say you sleep with girl A (Kali), at dawn, if you set Lin as alarm clock, there is no interaction between them.
Also if you sleep with girl X (let's say Lin in my case) then Lin wakes you up as alarm clock, there seems to have no continuity between both events.
Finally when i chose to sleep with Lin, at some point i had a "ashley wake up" event (later it was also the case with a Emma & Felicity event) , without any mention of Lin; Besides it had the Lin alarm clock right before (i think it was before) the event.
Otherwise, the artistic direction is very beautiful.
Edit: at some point i notice some items are "sold out" in the shop without me buying them. I'm not sure it's normal.
Also, i had the "Lin" dungeon first scene before i got her the rope clothing. (For other girls, the game asked me to buy the ropes before using them in dungeon, but when i discovered the dungeon first time, the Lin scene started auto, and i had not (and still have not) bought the ropes in the store.
I tested setting Lin as my alarm, and slept with Kali. Everything seems to be working fine. After you wake up with Kali, Lin blows you.
Thanks for noting the continuity issue, that will likely be fixed at some point, but it isn't a priority as it isn't very glaring.
Those events for Ashley and F&E are story events, and there doesn't seem to be a continuity issue here. It may be a little odd for two women to wake you up by blowjobs one after another, but it's not too much of a stretch to say MC passed out after being sucked dry, only to be sucked dry again. Win win, right?
Which items have been sold out without you buying them? It may just be the case that it isn't available yet.
Alas i didn't take notes at that point so i don't remember very well. I think it was one ... Maria outfit (not succubus one)? and one Lin's (not ropes nor heart clothing), but really not sure. It may be one of Ashley even... rah i'm not sure anymore.
For the continuity issues, you are the only judge; i was merely saying what may or may not be a bug ;).
I'd also notice (and forgot to speak about) that each morning, the blowjob scene by Lin takes a bit of time to start, as if the game was lagging. it's the only scene with such a little delay before start.
Also, I played a bit more, and noticed that in the store when i bought the "slut outfit" for a girl (Kali i think) it was first displayed as 200$ in the list of items for each girl but on the "purchase" screen it was 50$; many items costing other than 50$ have the same "purchase screen".
However, real price is always the first price (ie 200$ in the case i speak about).
Dunno, let us know how that goes. Simply locate the save folder on each and either cut-paste or copy-paste between them. PC's route is C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Harem Hotel. Don't know Mac's for sure, but I've been told it's ~\Library\RenPy\game_directory
Yea I couldn't find the mac save so I just restarted the entire game. At least Runey did a whole revamp on the earlier scenes in patch v0.10 so more to experience

You can just keep on playing - on PC, the saves are stored separate to the game and so never need to be touched.

2: What are the primary differences between v0.13.2 and v0.14? (In terms of amount of content)
Nopy recently shut down, which was the primary download host. My patreon however has always had multiple mirrors, as do the links for patrons. There is only one link for each version here, so it is more limited.
v0.14 also includes multiple different ways to download as well. You now have the option of downloading just the update, which is around 550MB at the moment, and you have the added option of downloading the entire game in two parts to combine after they're downloaded, which will also get around some limits of download hosts.
As of v0.14 beta 4, there are 40 new scenes and roughly 192 minutes of new content.

Emma's scenes in the dungeon (especially Squirtathon and orgasm denial) seems to have some lagging/slow issue (and even, the screen goes to the choice of activity in MC room for one frame before it comes back to the dungeon scen). (On pc)
This is likely due to outdated computer hardware. Those scenes are in the 40 - 60 frames per second range, whereas most are in 24 frames per second.

I was going to accept my "outdated hardware" explanation since my pc is from 2012 but i had still some trouble with it because:
1) no other scene has really this trouble in this game
2) i can still play some more demanding games.
3) i have played many other games with the same engine and no such issue in those.
Now that another poster has the same issue, i'm not so sure at all. I'd advise Runey42 to check if anything is different in those scenes.
I also have issues with some games lagging and stuttering after playing for long periods of time. Most of the time saving, exiting them game, and then relaunching helps. I'm fairly certain that my issue in particular is with old RAM, and the cache memory not being cleared appropriately.
Yeah, it's the frame rate. These aren't frames like FPS frames, these are dozens of individual image frames at 1920x1080, being flashed on your screen very fast (60 images in a second) so if your computer can't store all those images, it will lag.
Most other animations are in 24 frames, so it's much less data to store, and isn't being flashed as fast on screen.

From what I know, it works properly. Unfortunately I cannot troubleshoot for you because I don't play Harem Hotel on android. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can help you, but it should work right now if the guide is followed.

reporting another possible continuity error:
- i had the scene in the bar where Felicity and Ashley drink contest and ends in a threesome. The scene ends with the girls going away.
- Sleep time (i guess)
- at the next morning, scene with Felicity being in my bed (related to her story i think) and we go to restaurant afterwards.
It felt weird to see Felicity go then her back in the bed.
Not sure if it was volontary and wanted so reporting.
Edit: when buying "cowgirl outfit" for Android, there is an additional confirmation screen which is not for any other clothing (that i tried already) and it is not possible to go back in time like any other screen allows.
Edit2 in Emma's scene where she brings pizza, she used "owner" in little letters after her introduction sentence. I'm assuming she said so because it's the nickname Lin gives me (instead of master). It felt a bit weird since Owner for a slave (lin) made sense, but not for Emma, but i could get to understand how she would use "master" in this occurence.

I played a bit (6 hours already) and intend to continue but i wanted to share something i noticed: let's say you sleep with girl A (Kali), at dawn, if you set Lin as alarm clock, there is no interaction between them.
Also if you sleep with girl X (let's say Lin in my case) then Lin wakes you up as alarm clock, there seems to have no continuity between both events.
Finally when i chose to sleep with Lin, at some point i had a "ashley wake up" event (later it was also the case with a Emma & Felicity event) , without any mention of Lin; Besides it had the Lin alarm clock right before (i think it was before) the event.
Otherwise, the artistic direction is very beautiful.
Edit: at some point i notice some items are "sold out" in the shop without me buying them. I'm not sure it's normal.
Also, i had the "Lin" dungeon first scene before i got her the rope clothing. (For other girls, the game asked me to buy the ropes before using them in dungeon, but when i discovered the dungeon first time, the Lin scene started auto, and i had not (and still have not) bought the ropes in the store.

I tested setting Lin as my alarm, and slept with Kali. Everything seems to be working fine. After you wake up with Kali, Lin blows you.
Thanks for noting the continuity issue, that will likely be fixed at some point, but it isn't a priority as it isn't very glaring.
Those events for Ashley and F&E are story events, and there doesn't seem to be a continuity issue here. It may be a little odd for two women to wake you up by blowjobs one after another, but it's not too much of a stretch to say MC passed out after being sucked dry, only to be sucked dry again. Win win, right?
Which items have been sold out without you buying them? It may just be the case that it isn't available yet.

Alas i didn't take notes at that point so i don't remember very well. I think it was one ... Maria outfit (not succubus one)? and one Lin's (not ropes nor heart clothing), but really not sure. It may be one of Ashley even... rah i'm not sure anymore.
For the continuity issues, you are the only judge; i was merely saying what may or may not be a bug ;).
I'd also notice (and forgot to speak about) that each morning, the blowjob scene by Lin takes a bit of time to start, as if the game was lagging. it's the only scene with such a little delay before start.
Also, I played a bit more, and noticed that in the store when i bought the "slut outfit" for a girl (Kali i think) it was first displayed as 200$ in the list of items for each girl but on the "purchase" screen it was 50$; many items costing other than 50$ have the same "purchase screen".
However, real price is always the first price (ie 200$ in the case i speak about).

Dunno, let us know how that goes. Simply locate the save folder on each and either cut-paste or copy-paste between them.
PC's route is C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Harem Hotel. Don't know Mac's for sure, but I've been told it's ~\Library\RenPy\game_directory
Yea I couldn't find the mac save so I just restarted the entire game. At least Runey did a whole revamp on the earlier scenes in patch v0.10 so more to experience
yep the game works its just unresponsive alot of the time. having to tap most areas multiple times before it does anything
