A while ago I deleted joyplay but didn't delete the game file and now I redownload it but it doesn't open.
There is also two game files one called harem_hotel.exe and harem_hotel-32.exe I tried both and no one worked can this be fixed or should I just redownload the file cuz my internet is doodo my spelling is kinda doodo as well so sorry.
You said you deleted JoiPlay, so I assume redownload that. The 32 exe is for 32-bit operating system, the default exe is for 64-bit. Almost everything is 64-bit these days, so the default is the way to go, but check your phone's specifications on Google if you feel like it.
Don't import your saves, you have never needed to. Messing with them has only broken your game. You'll have to reinstall the entire game and load a different save.
I'm having issues with whatever function of the game causes the dimming of the window when the game isn't focused. (PC, Win11) When I quit the game through the menu it dims and stays dimmed after the game is exited, without any active processes showing in task manager. Force quitting through Alt-F4 and task manager don't even fix this because they either open the menu or unfocus the game so it activates the dimming. It requires power cycling of the monitor, or forcing Windows to cycle signal to the monitor (e.g. reassigning display layouts and applying the change) to fix the dimming effect.
Absolutely one of the best of these sort of games I've played!! Love all of the characters stories and the world building.

I have to say I downloaded this simply for the adult aspect of it, but I am hooked. The storyline is extremely engaging, and the art is fantastic. I am really looking forward to updates and will be adding a patreon sub.
Of course, as with all others, I have requests for additional content down the road. I would really like to see additional android upgrades, such as others seen among other androids in the game story!
I really enjoyed this game! A suggestion, though- more upgrades to the hotel would be cool. Adding a progression system to increase the aesthetic appeal of the hotel would be pretty neat, even if the upgrades were purely for aesthetic purposes. Maybe stuff like new plants in the garden, or a fancy paint job.
Unfortunately aesthetic upgrades are not possible. It would be if HH were a completely 2D or 3D game, but it's somewhere in the middle and any changes are very hard to do. I can barely get away with outfits, and those are a huge hog on resources.
It doesn't take any extra effort at all actually, you just click it. It makes using your computer easier, and most people have some way to do it already.
I would love to see scenes with the fairies. They could cast a spell to grow human size or could use magic to make the MC and or the other girls small for some fun.
Also is there ever going to be a yearly Patreon option. I have enough micro transactions for streaming, etc and it's less noticable to the boss.
Turning invisible is an ability as opposed to using magic. That makes sense. I just think the fairies are cool side characters and l happen to have a thing for fairies in general :)

As there is no magic, lets assume the crystal allows the fairies to bend light around them in a tiny bubble, or something like a skintight suit, I choose to prefer the latter, for obvious reasons.
Now, lets assume there were some even more rare crystal, that lets a fairy change her size to that of a normal human. She then would overheat within seconds, then die because she has been cooked alive, followed by a possible explosion. Not sexy.

They have ads advertising discounted elf-slaves for emigrants, yet the rest of the world seems to be almost totally ignorant of the practice. Does no one offer Elves asylum because Syl'anar's so mighty they don't dare, or because it's too obscure and weak to have any geo-strategic rivals who'd bother?
That's really the only false note, and the general lack of foreign public opinion on the issue. The MC obviously has to start as a naif for the plot to function, I'm not sure how one might reconcile that. Still, otherwise the world hangs together better than most fantasy novel series' I've read.

I just wasn't sure how reliable the information was supposed to be, given that they were all either from Syl'anar or the scions of industrial firms using Elf blood to make insanity prone androids. I assumed the MC's total ignorance of the place represented a counterpoint, just by its very possibility. Isn't he supposed to be from a country whose capital city alone has like a third the population of their entire continent?
I thought the Syl'anareans might be a bit like Americans - important, but nowhere near as important as they think they are. And prone to insularity.

I know, I'm trying to reconcile that with the apparent lack of awareness of Elven slavery in the outside world. I assume those ads play somewhere other than in-flight entertainment on Air-Sylanar blimps.

Slaves are never allowed to leave wherever they are. I thought the issue was Elves having nowhere to seek asylum.
Anyway, now that I know that's actually Canon, not just unreliable character perspectives, my questions are answered. If they're that militarily potent and central to the world economy, they definitely have the clout to pressure for the return of escapees.
Seems the aspect you are confused about is slavery, aka the overarching plot of the game. Elves are kept on Syl'anar because if they are introduced elsewhere they can escape, breed, and rebuild their society as free people. This has been mentioned many times in game. As also highlighted in game, Trenero's project which had him export a bunch of elves to The Capitol (on another continent), elves escaped and intended to do exactly as mentioned. The humans had them neutered though, horrifying as that is.
There is no one to offer literally millions of elves asylum, because the only other people out there are humans, who enslaved them in the first place. There is one other type of people out there though, which if you've played the game you know exactly who and why they stay away.
The MC - aka you - grew up near The Capitol, which as mentioned yet again, has no elves. Hence slavery being such a foreign concept to them (you) as you go through the game. That's brought up even more often.
This was an issue of trying to reconcile some of those details that seemed to contradict one another, and being unsure how reliable various characters' statements about the world were supposed to be. The developer's response clarified them to my satisfaction.
76 hours to complete all storyline until 0.15. I must say i'm impressed.
Each character is amazingly written. They are all nice to follow !
With Autumn, I have mixed feeling because of her exhibitionnism. Not the sexual games but more for the family conflict that will occur. I love seeing her kinky and open minded tho. I would love to see what you will do with her story.
For the Android, I really love the creation of the Cynetics. I grew attached to Ally. She's too cute.
My favorite character remain Lin. For her personnality, her story, her attachments and the way she always push herself.
Just to say, I think there is a bug with Maria outfits. In my game, It seems like an unique outfit is chosen (don't know when) and all outfit will be this one. Appear only for sex scenes. Seems like photos work fine.

The writing, character development and world building is incredible. The character models are beautifully designed and rendered. Not only that, the fact that the devs respond to comments offering advice and answering questions is wonderfully commendable.
Now some (hopefully) constructive feedback:
1. While the "!" markers are helpful for telling what characters have events, a hint at where you need to go to trigger events would be useful.
2. Voices/Moans in lewd scenes would be a welcome addition. (But not a necessity)
3. Giving trait recommendations for certain scenes. EG Kail and Lucy at the beach requires Kali has Exhibitionist trait.
Sorry for the long winded comment but I think what you devs have created here is something special.
there is this.. its a walk through/cheat mod.. you dont need to use the cheats but its there if you want them but the walk through has a nice description of what to do, where to do, when to do. used for the main and side girls.

If they're the same version, then it's compression, meaning the 1.61gB one will have severely reduced image quality. If they're not the same version, then yes, the lower numbered one will have less content.
On one hand I understand that this is one of, if not the biggest visual novels in digital storage size on the market right now, but are you sure you want to fuck around with a random file downloaded from god knows where when the original high quality stuff is literally completely free and available right now?

I think the automatically triggered events may be interfering with each other, because I never got the text from her to meet in the hot springs, but she was there anyway and I could start her story.
Similarly, I can't buy Peni, even though Nia and I raided the strip club. Supposedly she should be available the next day, right? But there isn't an option to buy her and I think it's because another event happened as soon as I woke up.

v0.16 isn't done, Runey doesn't paywall content. It currently only has an alpha. Beta builds will be next, then prereleases. The completed update comes out for everyone at the same time, no payment has ever nor ever will be needed.

Yeah, that's the itch.io app. It's useful for games that update often, as it only downloads the new files and assets instead of the entire game each time. The only thing it's not great at (for me at least) is games that are hosted on unsupported sites. I don't know the entire list of supported sites, but I can tell you it's not a large selection.
Hi, Loving your game so far ! I just have a question, I've been playing on the version 0.14 before. Went back to the game when I saw the new one. I just can't seem to have outfits ? They are all bought and a retrieved them from the mail but apparently when I want to make a character use them they are not developped yet. Which is weird since I used to be able to use them in 0.14.
There are just a few outfits that can be used normally (in the hotel) since depending of the outfit might have an interaction with the girls when you encounter them outside of their rooms, for the most part most of the outfits can either be used during their repeatable scenes and only there, still there are a few like kali's bunny suit that are needed for the game to progress so its a good idea to buy most of them, to use them in the hotel for the most part are at least 3, the normal outfit (default), their slutty outfit and the ropes, the slutty can be bought but the ropes well in that you will need to know what to do to unlock it, there are some girls that have more outfit available to use in the hotel but not every outfit is usable like this.
Depends on how you play. Runey took a brief sample size some time back and averaged around 60hrs iirc. You could easily be quicker, or you could take your time, grind stats, etc.
Edit: I was just informed it was more like 40-45hrs.
Hey, this game is the best game I have played, it actually has a storyline not like some other games that are just some weird classical harem story, this one is definitely unique, I have completed the game like 5 times and I don't think I will ever stop playing again and again, looking forward to see the v0.16.
suggestions: more of kate, she is definitely a character that many people would like to see more of; and more of autumn, i know that you are probably already developing more of her story and I simply can't wait to see.

There are no spells or high magic in HH. This is a low-fantasy game.
The option to pledge yearly for a 10% discount has been available for a year or two on my patreon.

Could anyone tell me the specific requirements to unlock Lucia? And what level Kali has to be at to do so? The only info I could find online says that I should get an invite to the hot springs via text and I haven't, nor does she show up there.
Kali is currently level 32. Does she need to be higher?
She moved in during Kali's 20th event, remember?
I specifically meant the scenes with Lucia, and I figured it out eventually.
I think the automatically triggered events may be interfering with each other, because I never got the text from her to meet in the hot springs, but she was there anyway and I could start her story.
Similarly, I can't buy Peni, even though Nia and I raided the strip club. Supposedly she should be available the next day, right? But there isn't an option to buy her and I think it's because another event happened as soon as I woke up.
Not at all, some events are locked behind the public code "truestory" due to rules reasons.
As for Peni, simply enter the Lobby a few days after the event. Ellen will notify you.

It currently only has an alpha. Beta builds will be next, then prereleases.
The completed update comes out for everyone at the same time, no payment has ever nor ever will be needed.
I'm having problem with this.I downloaded Itch and i'm capable of playing other games but this shows up when i try to install it.Any fix for this?
No idea what I'm looking at, gonna guess the itch.io app that is known to have lots of issues?

Yeah, that's the itch.io app. It's useful for games that update often, as it only downloads the new files and assets instead of the entire game each time. The only thing it's not great at (for me at least) is games that are hosted on unsupported sites. I don't know the entire list of supported sites, but I can tell you it's not a large selection.
You can't down load on Itch.io you will have to Download it and extract, then run the app separate from Itch.
Hi, Loving your game so far ! I just have a question, I've been playing on the version 0.14 before. Went back to the game when I saw the new one. I just can't seem to have outfits ? They are all bought and a retrieved them from the mail but apparently when I want to make a character use them they are not developped yet. Which is weird since I used to be able to use them in 0.14.
Am I missing something ?

You haven't ever been able to use those outfits. It hasn't been developed yet.
There are just a few outfits that can be used normally (in the hotel) since depending of the outfit might have an interaction with the girls when you encounter them outside of their rooms, for the most part most of the outfits can either be used during their repeatable scenes and only there, still there are a few like kali's bunny suit that are needed for the game to progress so its a good idea to buy most of them, to use them in the hotel for the most part are at least 3, the normal outfit (default), their slutty outfit and the ropes, the slutty can be bought but the ropes well in that you will need to know what to do to unlock it, there are some girls that have more outfit available to use in the hotel but not every outfit is usable like this.
Hi, I just started downloading this game and I want to ask how many hours it has, it looks really good and I can't wait to play it.
Depends on how you play.
Runey took a brief sample size some time back and averaged around 60hrs iirc.
You could easily be quicker, or you could take your time, grind stats, etc.
Edit: I was just informed it was more like 40-45hrs.

Hey, this game is the best game I have played, it actually has a storyline not like some other games that are just some weird classical harem story, this one is definitely unique, I have completed the game like 5 times and I don't think I will ever stop playing again and again, looking forward to see the v0.16.
suggestions: more of kate, she is definitely a character that many people would like to see more of; and more of autumn, i know that you are probably already developing more of her story and I simply can't wait to see.
Anyways keep up with the work, I will donate any time if I get the money to do.
(forgot to mention): I didn't know I could download the game directly from this page, thought I needed to pay and didn't have the money to, so I downloaded from a random website, but now i see that I can download from here, I don't know if u actually get anything from us downloading from the original source but I definitely prefer to download from here.

Main characters are typically guaranteed at least one story event per update. Autumn will likely be getting 3 in v0.16. Kate may get something as well.
Please never download indie games from random websites, it's a very bad idea. Every indie dev, and I do mean every, has official blogs or a website where you can download their game.
