Hi! Good game u re developing here. One pint of criticism if i may add, as a personal opinion (and i guess spoiler?), considering the direction of the quests, I guess u plan on abolishing elf slavery for the end game? I was more inclined for the game to focus on consolidating the bussines or bussineses, growing the harem and strenghten the bonds with big shots in the city, all in all to grow in power and influence, not to put everything and everyone in danger cuz we cant say "no" to delusional requests like "lets abolish slavery" (Lin quests, Maria quests), like we re not in charge of the hotel (story) anymore, the girls are :)) No hate, just an opinion..

That's right! This story is focused on abolishing abusive power structures rather than taking advantage of them.

This story takes inspiration from historical events, such as abolishing slavery and monopolies. As well as goals such as abolishing poverty and corruption.

The main cast are abolishonists. Not strictly in the freedom from slavery sense, but the literal definition "To do away with". In the context of this story that means to do away with the laws, institutions, and governance that has personally affected their freedoms. Change and hope for the future are big themes here.

Currently there is nothing that can be done about the lockdown once it has happened. The farm is content that was added recently, but it's designed to be experienced early on a new save.

The shitty thing about reports is that they're sent to me, not directly to itch.io staff. Even when I report the reported content, it goes straight to me haha

Itch.io staff does seem to become aware of accounts with enough reports though, so it's a team effort. Sometimes accounts do get globally banned before I have the opportunity to ban them here. If I were to guess, one person reporting all of their comments does more than mass reporting one comment.

Have you modified game files in any way?

Have you played any beta version of Harem Hotel? Those often mess the game and continuing with released version makes strange errors.

Is there any more info in file log,txt, it should be in game directory. Can you provide the full error text, cut and paste or take screenshot?

I haven't modified the game data in any way; I just played and occasionally encountered errors with undefined scripts, which I ignored and continued playing. However, after completing Lin's story, an error screen started appearing after almost every interaction, such as moving between floors or locations. I hope this screen and text can help with identifying the problem.

Where did you get that version?

You are not playing a released version. Install latest released version v0.19.1, links to downloads are above on this page.

It may be the save files you have break the game with v0.19.1, but it should work better than the beta test you have now. You may have to start a new game to get rid of all messy features.

Runey you honestly did a beautiful job on this game. I am so attached to these characters that I almost feel like I'm grieving them now that I'm done with it lol

I actually cried through a couple Lin scenes and Ashley scenes... literal goosebumps at the peak of the last Lin scene. I cannot wait for the update. I'm almost mad at myself for not waiting to play until development was finished lol

Harem Hotel and Eternum are making my expectations way too high for these other games 😂

Also, I'm extremely impressed that there's like 70 hours of content (for me, anyway) and we're not even done yet.

Yes. As far as I'm aware, it won't affect any of the saves across any of the platforms. Someone may correct me if I'm wrong about one of the platforms.

On Android uninstalling the game removes also save files.

On Linux, Mac and Windows the save files have a copy separate from the game installation directory. Installing new game to a new directory works and game can continue where old version left.

To be sure, do take a backup of the save files to some safe storage. Discord FAQ channel shows save file location for each platform.

**Spoiler Warning**

Been a big fan for years, and just completed all of the content. Android's by far being my favorite character. However, her story, I can't lie, it feels. Strange. The forced re-design is awkward, and obviously not everyone is gonna like very story, but it feels bad. The game does an amazing job going over so many mental health issues in incredibly realistic and helpful ways, but with her it feels off. It's hard to describe, but parts of me didn't want her story to continue the way it did, and it made me hesitant to click on her. I want to reinforce, I love love LOVE this game, the work you put in is simply astounding. Compared to the other stories though, it feels like I somehow made a wrong choice, that this is a bad end or something. Again, it's a unique story, it's not for everyone, but the whole existentialism feels misplaced, almost. It genuinely felt uncomfortable at some points. Maybe it's just me, maybe I simply don't see the big picture, but it's hard to enjoy a story of a character that gets rewritten multiple times in such a short span. It feels especially weird that from 2 was made to blend in more with humans, but now that it's no longer her goal, she still remains that way? It's off-putting in a way.

I don't want this to come off as completely negative though, I am a massive fan of this entire project, and I think my only real gameplay-complaint is the lack of a hint system. It feels weird to be forced to use the wiki, when on a character's page, it could just mention "try visiting them during the evening" or even just "enter the hot spring at noon." It's fun to discover stuff, but having the option for a hint would be huge, especially for missed dialogue. I only have Jin at level 6 and Moon at 3, and without the wiki, I never would've gotten them there.

I'm no game reviewer or maker, just a guy that has gone through the struggles many of the girls have. I don't play many visual novels, or even harem games for that matter. But this game is something truly special. I hope my words bring you encouragement and a perspective, rather than doubt or discouragement. I hope my words on Android's story make sense, and I don't want it to make you change your end goals. I just think it could use some fine-tuning to make it as exceptional as all the others. I wish I could give more than just words and small amount of money, but I do hope it helps encourage you to make this game everything you want and more. I will be happily and patiently awaiting anything and everything you put out, from the rest of HH, to any potential future endeavors. This game has permanently changed me for the better, and I wish you nothing but the absolute best.

I have read on Discord that the latest Joiplay does not work with this game, since it is currently not made with the latest Renpy. The Joiplay and plugin version must be as instructed.

On Discord the #help channel may be able to offer more advice, I have not played on Android so I do not know more.

There are many lines of dialogue and code in the bowling tournament, and tens of thousands in Maria's events. Please be more specific when reporting errors.

These questions will help pin down the error: Is this a dialogue bug? Do you get an error screen? Is this a translation issue? Did I make a grammar mistake? Which event did this happen in? Where in the event did this happen? I do not know what you're referring to. Pictures help.

I found the game to be quite good and interesting. The characters' stories are very diverse and well-crafted, which is appreciated considering the large number of characters.

However, there's one thing I'd like to recommend: the music. I feel like it doesn't quite fit the important moments. In scenes of tension, sadness, or suspense, the music doesn't convey what it should, and that somewhat breaks the atmosphere and immersion in the story.

For example, when the elf queen, Jia, kidnaps the protagonist, it's hard to take the scene seriously with soothing jazz music playing in the background. The same is true when Ashley gets depressed or when Maria is discovered to be a half-elf.

Simply adjusting the soundtrack a bit to fit the context of each moment would greatly improve the game. It would make you connect more with the story and what the characters are going through.

This is just a suggestion; I quite liked the story. 👍

To continue your save, simply download the upload and click continue. No extra steps required, though it does have to be installed on the same computer.

You can either download the full v0.19.1 or use the smaller download of patch files. But you must first use patch v0.17 -> v0.18.2 and then patch v0.18+ -> v0.19.1.

On PC and Mac, there are no extra steps required to continue your save. Simply install the update on the same computer and click continue. If you're on android though, it's trickier.

This sometimes happens when the player saves in a part of the game that has been updated, but it is easily fixed. Just click Rollback until it works, or try an autosave.

At first you wrote the error was “game file error”. The error message in the screenshot you posted is nothing like that.

Try installing again, following the instructions carefully.

If it still fails, search for Youtube video on how to install Renpy games on Android. Maybe you did some step wrong.

love this game ! i love to see more spicy stuff of Juliet, Hana, Eris, and Kate ! there's also a concern on my end too, i came across kate at the hot springs(9/9) and there's a greyed out option to have some fun with her. is here some way i can? if so how would i be able to? unless that greyed out option was added unintentionally ! either way, thank you so much for your hard work on such an amazing game !

Dive deeper into smoking fetish. There are many games that tip-toe around it, but never fully engage. The SF community is quite large, larger than you might think. Currently, we truly only have one developer, Motkeyz who has fully captured, and provided games with an in depth SF concept. Timestamps, and Alt Worlds are amazing, and currently owning this genre/fetish. Both of these games also provide the option to exclude SF content. If SF content is not of interest to a player, the story is unaffected if they toggle it off. Motkeyz has truly done an amazing job with these games so far, and the SF community is clamoring for more! In no way am I asking or expecting for you to "reinvent the wheel", so to say. The current marketplace is so barren of in depth SF content, that anything that even brushes the surface draws our attention, and appreciation.

With that being said, your game is fantastic! It is truly a delight to play, so thank you! Regardless, if you add more SF content or not, you have provided everyone with an amazing game, and I look forward to what is in store for us in the future!

Hi, I've discovered a bug. Every time I play the game, it resets the text speed. I set it to instant, play the game, save and come back and it's back to half. Love the game, btw, I've been playing since the 0.17 release.

That issue seems to be real, I play on Ubuntu Linux and same thing happens.

It may be a RenPy bug, though. There is this issue already reported: https://github.com/renpy/renpy/issues/3047

Came back after so long. I absolutely looove this game. It says I own the game but, the only thing is, it wouldn't let me run the game so, I had to reinstall but now, it's saying, "this title is hosted on an incompatible third-party website". I don't understand why I can't install it anymore. Anyone know of a fix? I'd hate to not play this again.
