Is the problem the answer or reference to the FAQ page? I do not find either of them have a negative attitude. I try to write short and terse answers. Questions answered in the FAQ page in the Wiki are asked quite a lot, so it seems useful to remind there is FAQ page.

Customer service can be a tricky skill to master, I still fail at it all the time because I can be tired, annoyed, or frustrated with something irrelevant, so I sometimes unintentionally come across as an asshole if I provide a quick and blunt response for example.

I really hope their has been additions to Kate's story. It can absolutely be smoothed out, but there is a decent foundation. She is a side-character, but so much fun potential. I absolutely got attached and wanted more. Im going to wait for .21 rather than .20. The former should have story updates.

This version (v0.19.x) is not on Itch.io file server. v0.18.x worked with Itch App. I do not know what is the reason game is now “offsite”, I guess it is too big now, being 13 Gigabytes.

Honestly i love this game ever since i started playing it a week ago i have no complaints. for being a “gooner” game it has better writing than than most games and even movies im pretty sure im almost done with most content on the recent patch cant wait for V0.20 all the build up and extra content coming in that patch sounds amazingggg!!
For whatever reason I've become obsessed with speedrunning this game... fun fact, the rng roll for most money amounts occurs on the same frame that displays the amount. So when it says you got X amount, you can quicksave there and quickload to reroll the rng until you get the maximum amount possible. Are you proud of me, Kali?

Itch.io has some sort of automod monitoring every post, and I believe I read somewhere that it learns what should be hidden through our reports. If that's true, it doesn't work very well. It has never caught actual spam.
In any case, it almost only hides posts from new members, but doesn't tell me about it, so I have to check the "pending posts" section from time to time and manually approve posts from new members.

The characters become more interesting as their stories progress, which makes the setting of slavery and injustice seem even worse — I suppose, in this sense, that's a good thing?

Heya, love the game but continuity is kinda broken.
Everything revolving around stoneface. You can do F&E events and you magically know that he is stoneface without doing Maria's events and you know he has Ren without doing Ashley's events.
While visiting the queen with Lin, no one knows about fairies but then in the next scene with Sylvia she is aware of their existence and even says that she had some too
A lot of events acknowledge that Kali is now going to college without doing the college event. You can even still visit her in work while it should be Lucy now.

There are two or three ways you can find out who Stoneface is, so I'm sure I've missed something along the way. Unfortunately there is not much I can do with the information provided. I would need to know the levels of Ashley, Maria, and F&E, and know which event you're on and or the line of dialogue that is breaking continuity.
There is certainly an issue with Sylvia and the fairies. The way I wrote it seems confusing to a fair amount of people which is ultimately my fault. Sylvia has always known about the fairies, but she didn't mention them because they play a specific role outside of the island they were going to. Sylvia also fully believed that her queen was a demi-god capable of doing unexplainable things. The best way to use fairies though, is through intrigue and deception. Sylvia had no clue what fairies were capable of outside of being spies, so she didn't know what was going on. This is all my internal logic though, it doesn't mean it portrayed the best way it could have been.
Number 3 sounds like it could be a client-side bug, but I would need specifics to check it. The level of Kali when the bug occurred, and a screenshot of any dialogue that is out of place.
im new to using joiplay i have the game setup (I think) but everytime i press to play it just comes up with "checking plugin configuration", then it just closes down any help?
Try to again follow the instructions above on this page, the “How to play on Android”. If that does not help, there are Youtube videos on installing Renpy games on Android with Joiplay.
Take care to use the version Joiplay 7.7.1 and renpy plugin like instructed.
i downloaded the one for PC and there wasnt a prompt to install just a winrar file and unpacked into a folder on one of my drives.
also the FAQ just says it helps to attach a error code with a post to easier diagnose the issue. but the game just wont launch at all so no error code to give.

Are you running Windows? I do not use Windows myself, but I remember discussions about malware protection that prevents running programs from directory not under C:/Program Files . So try making HH directory under C:/Program Files or C:/Program Files (x86) .
I am a bit surprised there is no message or error popup when trying to start the .exe. Maybe antivirus must allow the file to exexute ?
Heya It's me again. It seems my message was still passed through moderation, so after three days (actually a week...) I was able to get it working through trial and error... So, I managed to do it... Unzip the files into the emulator itself... Not through the RAR... It took longer, but it works! (I love your game by the way, it helped me escape college and stress, so... You helped me stay sane! Thanks so much for that.)
I love this game like everyone else but ending each update on cliffhanger is not it. The story is really interesting, one of the best I may say but waiting one year for an event that only makes me want to know what's next even more is painful :(

I don't think v0.19 has any cliffhangers, but I understand wanting more! In some cases, like in v0.18, events need to be split in parts because they're so large, but they're not intentionally made to be cliffhangers. This is however a story being written in real time, so there are questions still unanswered.

I have followed this game since the beginning and can say without a doubt the H-scenes to plot ratio is perfect. I believe this is one of my top favorites and if your looking for a plot and fun this game is the best recomended. Thank's to the author and dev's to this game and look forward to future updates!

You've got a major continuity error between sylvia's and Lin's stories. In Lin's Sylvia doesnt seem to know how the queen does what she does, but in Sylvia's she sits in the fast food place casually explaining all of it.
Also multiple instances towards the tail end of the story so far where if you dont do the events in the correct order things will be referenced in one character's story that haven't happened yet because you haven't done an event in another character's, or characters who have had major changes in their story will seem to regress because you did theirs first, Ashley's makeover reverting if you don't go through enough of felicity and emma's scenes before playing ashleys for instance. So you might want to go through at some point and change some trigger variables so that it doesnt seem like the player is jumping back and forth through time.
I just looked through Sylvia's event there, I couldn't find any instance where she says she knew her former Queen's tricks. I could be missing something though. But she does explain that high elvish warriors usually have three fairies teamed up with them, and that crystals are used by fairies. Is this what you're referring to? As Sylvia stated on the boat, she has seen her former queen do things she cannot explain. "I've seen her make it rain with the snap of her fingers.", the floating knives were extrapolated from that by Sylvia to be another magical thing she cannot explain. Fairies don't even have the strength to drive a dagger into anyone, so the queen using fairies for that would be nothing but a bluff, and Sylvia is aware of that. And that's exactly what it was!
It would help me fix any inconsistencies if you were to share exact dialogue or screenshots. It's just almost impossible for me to playtest every scenario myself.
I believe Ashley mentions at one point in the story that she goes back and forth between blonde pigtails and her brown natural look. I know, it's a ton of work for Ashley to do that, but she does. Most characters have an odd transition period between their "tier 1" look and "tier 2" look, where you may see them in both on the same day. As time goes on, they appear in their "tier 2" look 100% of the time. It's an unfortunate byproduct of a 2D game not based in sprites.
In every case where it's necessary I will account for which events the player has witnessed to avoid inconsistencies. Things will certainly slip through the cracks though, and I cannot personally test every scenario myself, so your help is very valuable. The game is designed for you to progress the stories at your own pace, with limited restriction. This means everyone's story is slightly different, and no save has the same history.
I was referring to sylvia explaining the training with Faeries, i was trying to do so without spoilers since i cant seem to figure out how to do spoiler tags. But its mostly because she had previously talked about the queen levitating things as if she didnt know how it was done, and made no mention of the faeries before that. She also didnt seem to understand what the "feeling of bugs" on her skin was during the confrontation. It seemed to give the impression that she didnt know about the faeries.
As far as the appearance of time jumping for Ashley, I think it's mostly because past a certain point she doesn't go back to blonde pigtails in any of her own scenes and switched to a different wardrobe, but has them in felicity and Emma's and wear her old clothes. I mean its clearly just that those scenes were made before the character redesign, but it does give the impression of a timeline. I'd recommend just pushing back Ashley's first scene with the new look to after the last scene with her old look with felicity and Emma, but its really more of an immersion thing than continuity there since I don't think there are any major story beats or references to anything major in those scenes.
There is however a scene where Maria says she will follow someone (the cat i think?) On her socials that can trigger after her DNA test when all her socials are deleted and scenes in I believe Ashley's story where first Lin references the owl clan and then the MC remembers the gang bangers from the visit to the owl clan that can trigger before you ever visit them. Wish I could be more specific but I wasn't really taking notes on which event I was at.
I totally get the game is still being developed and with this many characters, the sandbox nature, and stories becoming more interconnected that stuff is going to slip through the cracks sometimes. Just thought I'd point it out in case it's something you want to tweak in future updates.
Edit: So also for a specific example, Maria's 38th and 39th event can occur after Felicity's kidnapping. So the MC runs into Beaumont at the poker game and doesnt even comment on Felicity being gone in the 38th, and in the 39th she's present in the bar during maria's roleplay.
Hey! just wanted to write in and say that i love the writing of all the characters! Even random and (some seemingly) unimportant characters have really funny lines, actions or personalities. The story is also very captivating. 10/10 would download again

To get from v0.18.0 to the latest, you must first patch to v0.18.2 and then patch to v0.19.1.
If you skip the v0.18.2, the garden.rpa file is wrong version.

It seems there is moderation on the comments posted.
An 11 days old and two 5 days old posts appeared, I guess someone reviewed them and released them for public view.
How come this moderation does not prevent the posts with spam links appearing every day?
Itch.io has some sort of automod monitoring every post, and I believe I read somewhere that it learns what should be hidden through our reports. If that's true, it doesn't work very well. It has never caught actual spam.
In any case, it almost only hides posts from new members, but doesn't tell me about it, so I have to check the "pending posts" section from time to time and manually approve posts from new members.
"A new post or topic may be placed in the pending queue if it is flagged by the spam detector, or by the moderation settings of the community. Posts here will not be visible to others until approved by a moderator."
I am not aware of any "moderation settings of the community" besides allowing comments, but that's what it tells me.
I didn't have any expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised.
I didn't expect such a high level of social and political commentary from what I thought was 'just an adult game'.
The characters become more interesting as their stories progress, which makes the setting of slavery and injustice seem even worse — I suppose, in this sense, that's a good thing?
I was also impressed by the artwork in new locations and flashbacks. I'm really curious to see how the story progresses and what future updates will bring.

There are two or three ways you can find out who Stoneface is, so I'm sure I've missed something along the way. Unfortunately there is not much I can do with the information provided. I would need to know the levels of Ashley, Maria, and F&E, and know which event you're on and or the line of dialogue that is breaking continuity.
There is certainly an issue with Sylvia and the fairies. The way I wrote it seems confusing to a fair amount of people which is ultimately my fault. Sylvia has always known about the fairies, but she didn't mention them because they play a specific role outside of the island they were going to. Sylvia also fully believed that her queen was a demi-god capable of doing unexplainable things. The best way to use fairies though, is through intrigue and deception. Sylvia had no clue what fairies were capable of outside of being spies, so she didn't know what was going on. This is all my internal logic though, it doesn't mean it portrayed the best way it could have been.
Number 3 sounds like it could be a client-side bug, but I would need specifics to check it. The level of Kali when the bug occurred, and a screenshot of any dialogue that is out of place.

im new to using joiplay i have the game setup (I think) but everytime i press to play it just comes up with "checking plugin configuration", then it just closes down any help?
So you are playing on Android?
Try to again follow the instructions above on this page, the “How to play on Android”. If that does not help, there are Youtube videos on installing Renpy games on Android with Joiplay.
Take care to use the version Joiplay 7.7.1 and renpy plugin like instructed.
I succeeded if I unpacked the files in joiplay itself. And then use the joiplay folder to launch it, and everything works. (But this is not certain.)

Which file did you download, from where? How did you install the game?
i downloaded the one for PC and there wasnt a prompt to install just a winrar file and unpacked into a folder on one of my drives.
also the FAQ just says it helps to attach a error code with a post to easier diagnose the issue. but the game just wont launch at all so no error code to give.

Are you running Windows? I do not use Windows myself, but I remember discussions about malware protection that prevents running programs from directory not under C:/Program Files . So try making HH directory under C:/Program Files or C:/Program Files (x86) .
I am a bit surprised there is no message or error popup when trying to start the .exe. Maybe antivirus must allow the file to exexute ?
Heya It's me again. It seems my message was still passed through moderation, so after three days (actually a week...) I was able to get it working through trial and error... So, I managed to do it... Unzip the files into the emulator itself... Not through the RAR... It took longer, but it works! (I love your game by the way, it helped me escape college and stress, so... You helped me stay sane! Thanks so much for that.)
I love this game like everyone else but ending each update on cliffhanger is not it. The story is really interesting, one of the best I may say but waiting one year for an event that only makes me want to know what's next even more is painful :(

I don't think v0.19 has any cliffhangers, but I understand wanting more! In some cases, like in v0.18, events need to be split in parts because they're so large, but they're not intentionally made to be cliffhangers. This is however a story being written in real time, so there are questions still unanswered.
Yearly updates are not my typical schedule, I've just had a hectic life lately.
No telling what the future holds, but for now I finally have a lot of time. Those things keeping me busy have mostly been solved as of two months ago.

Make the girls like you, then visit them in their room. Ask for a photo session, then after session you can keep the photos or sell them.
If you want to make money, grow crops in the garden. When you can afford, build the bar restaurant.

I have followed this game since the beginning and can say without a doubt the H-scenes to plot ratio is perfect. I believe this is one of my top favorites and if your looking for a plot and fun this game is the best recomended. Thank's to the author and dev's to this game and look forward to future updates!

In all RenPy -games there is Accessibility menu. Reach it with hotkey “a”.
Use “Text size scaling”. Font Override may also help make text more readable.
Amazing game! Just finished it. I want to continue playing (I have some side character events left), but your final message congratulating us for finishing the game keeps poping up all the time though. Any way to disble it?
Are you playing version 0.19.1? There was a bug like you describe in older version, was fixed in v0.19.1.

You've got a major continuity error between sylvia's and Lin's stories. In Lin's Sylvia doesnt seem to know how the queen does what she does, but in Sylvia's she sits in the fast food place casually explaining all of it.
Also multiple instances towards the tail end of the story so far where if you dont do the events in the correct order things will be referenced in one character's story that haven't happened yet because you haven't done an event in another character's, or characters who have had major changes in their story will seem to regress because you did theirs first, Ashley's makeover reverting if you don't go through enough of felicity and emma's scenes before playing ashleys for instance. So you might want to go through at some point and change some trigger variables so that it doesnt seem like the player is jumping back and forth through time.

I just looked through Sylvia's event there, I couldn't find any instance where she says she knew her former Queen's tricks. I could be missing something though. But she does explain that high elvish warriors usually have three fairies teamed up with them, and that crystals are used by fairies. Is this what you're referring to? As Sylvia stated on the boat, she has seen her former queen do things she cannot explain. "I've seen her make it rain with the snap of her fingers.", the floating knives were extrapolated from that by Sylvia to be another magical thing she cannot explain. Fairies don't even have the strength to drive a dagger into anyone, so the queen using fairies for that would be nothing but a bluff, and Sylvia is aware of that. And that's exactly what it was!
It would help me fix any inconsistencies if you were to share exact dialogue or screenshots. It's just almost impossible for me to playtest every scenario myself.
I believe Ashley mentions at one point in the story that she goes back and forth between blonde pigtails and her brown natural look. I know, it's a ton of work for Ashley to do that, but she does. Most characters have an odd transition period between their "tier 1" look and "tier 2" look, where you may see them in both on the same day. As time goes on, they appear in their "tier 2" look 100% of the time. It's an unfortunate byproduct of a 2D game not based in sprites.
In every case where it's necessary I will account for which events the player has witnessed to avoid inconsistencies. Things will certainly slip through the cracks though, and I cannot personally test every scenario myself, so your help is very valuable. The game is designed for you to progress the stories at your own pace, with limited restriction. This means everyone's story is slightly different, and no save has the same history.
I was referring to sylvia explaining the training with Faeries, i was trying to do so without spoilers since i cant seem to figure out how to do spoiler tags. But its mostly because she had previously talked about the queen levitating things as if she didnt know how it was done, and made no mention of the faeries before that. She also didnt seem to understand what the "feeling of bugs" on her skin was during the confrontation. It seemed to give the impression that she didnt know about the faeries.
As far as the appearance of time jumping for Ashley, I think it's mostly because past a certain point she doesn't go back to blonde pigtails in any of her own scenes and switched to a different wardrobe, but has them in felicity and Emma's and wear her old clothes. I mean its clearly just that those scenes were made before the character redesign, but it does give the impression of a timeline. I'd recommend just pushing back Ashley's first scene with the new look to after the last scene with her old look with felicity and Emma, but its really more of an immersion thing than continuity there since I don't think there are any major story beats or references to anything major in those scenes.
There is however a scene where Maria says she will follow someone (the cat i think?) On her socials that can trigger after her DNA test when all her socials are deleted and scenes in I believe Ashley's story where first Lin references the owl clan and then the MC remembers the gang bangers from the visit to the owl clan that can trigger before you ever visit them. Wish I could be more specific but I wasn't really taking notes on which event I was at.
I totally get the game is still being developed and with this many characters, the sandbox nature, and stories becoming more interconnected that stuff is going to slip through the cracks sometimes. Just thought I'd point it out in case it's something you want to tweak in future updates.
Edit: So also for a specific example, Maria's 38th and 39th event can occur after Felicity's kidnapping. So the MC runs into Beaumont at the poker game and doesnt even comment on Felicity being gone in the 38th, and in the 39th she's present in the bar during maria's roleplay.
Its a very heartwarming story, its not too repetitive (beside my money managing issue), my only weird thing is called the twin the clone...
